Set up standard prices and estimates
How to add prices Space Cake can safely use, and when a quote still comes back to you.
Space Cake can give customers standard price information only when you have provided the price first.
It will not invent a number.
Good prices to add
Add the prices you already give customers often:
- Standard service prices
- Starting prices
- Hourly rates
- Call-out fees
- Appointment lengths
- Deposit rules
- What is included
- What changes the final cost
Use the wording you would normally use in an email.
Estimates are clearly marked
When Space Cake gives a price, it is treated as an estimate, not a binding quote.
That protects you when the job depends on condition, distance, parts, access, or anything that needs a human look.
When it will not quote
Space Cake brings the message back to you if the customer asks for:
- A discount
- A refund
- A money dispute
- A fixed price for an unusual job
- A guarantee
- A price that is not on your list
Keep prices current
If your prices change, update them before letting Space Cake use them. The safer the facts, the safer the replies.
